Initial cold-pressed oil is made exclusively using mechanical extraction processes. The seeds and fruit are subjected to no prior cooking or heating, meaning that they retain their full nutritional benefits.

The raw oil is filtered one first time and decanted. It is then filtered a second time upon absorbent paper, which gives it its clarity and brightness.

Quality Methodology

Biopress has set up a Quality Methodology that helps control the manufacturing process, thus guaranteeing high-level nutritional and organoleptic properties for the products.

The methodology is structured around three frundamental principles.

The HACCP method (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) guarantees the health safety of products through risk assessment and the implementation of preventive and corrective actions.

An efficient traceability system monitors the products, from the reception of raw materials to the shipping of finished products.

An analytical control scheme is implementing and reviewed according to changes in regulations and modifications in the manufacturing process.
The analyses are performed at in-house laboratories as well as outside with COFRAC certified laboratories.

Quality Control

Product quality is ensured through a variety of controls performed throughout the period that the product remains inside company premises.

Raw materials are 100% provided by organic farming. Biopress nurtures a direct partnership with producers and cooperatives, which helps ensure a more meticulous selection of our incoming products.
Every seed, fruit or oil delivery is checked through a sample being taken and analysed prior to the merchandise being accepted.

During manufactures, various controls are carried out by our in-house laboratory to verify that manufacturing operations are running as they should.

All finished products are sampled by our trained in-house jury. Analytical controls are also performed to ensure our customers get the best quality possible.
