On February 8, 2010, the European Commission has officially released the logo chosen by internet users at the end of the contest for the creation of the new European logo for organic products.

This new logo called 'Euro-leaf' can be applied on products :

- that contain at least 95 % ingredients from organic farming,

- that comply with the control and certification system,

- that bear the producer name, processor or distributor, and the name or code of the certification institution.

And its display is mandatory since 1 July 2010 on the new labels of prepackaged foods.
